Separately from that, the web server keeps standard access log entries for every request it answers: the IP address the request came from, the time, the file or page requested, the response code, the browser's user agent string, and the referring page if your browser sends one. That is the record any web server keeps in order to run. It is not joined to a name, an email address or a profile, because the site holds none of those.
