How a wagering requirement is calculated
Find the multiple, find what it applies to, multiply the two. That product is the amount you must place in bets, and nothing else in the clause changes it. A A$200 bonus at 40x on the bonus means A$8,000 of turnover. At $1 a spin that is 8,000 spins.
Turnover counts what you stake, not what you win or lose. The same $200 can be cycled through the game hundreds of times and every stake is counted, as long as there is still a balance to bet with. That is why the expiry date and the return of the games you choose decide whether the number is physically reachable, and the return to player explainer works that cost through with figures.

Rows one and five are the point of the whole page. A 3x requirement that includes your deposit is a smaller job than a 40x requirement on the bonus alone, even though the multiple looks thirteen times larger in the other direction. Compare the finished dollar figure, never the multiple on its own.

Bonus only, or deposit plus bonus?
Read the clause literally, because the difference is your own money. Wagering on the bonus applies the multiple to the bonus credit alone. Wagering on deposit and bonus puts your deposit into the base as well, which doubles the sum on a 100% match and triples it on a 200% match.
The wording is not consistent across the brands in the table, which is the main reason two offers with the same headline percentage are not the same product. Atefia states 35x on deposit and bonus plus 40x on free-spin winnings. FairCrown states that bonus funds and deposits must be wagered 3x before a withdrawal is possible. PlayBaze states 30x, to be met with real money, on a bonus of up to €1,250.

The offer figures supplied to us are published in euro and are shown here exactly as supplied, because converting them would print a number the operator never advertised. Silverplay is the one worth reading twice. Its 5x looks light until you reach the part that counts only sports bets at minimum odds of 1.6 and casino bets that are not minimal or zero risk, which rules out the low-variance grinding most players would use to clear turnover quickly.
The clauses that void more bonuses than the wagering does
Most bonuses that end badly do not end because the turnover was impossible. They end on a secondary clause the player never opened.

How to work out whether an offer is worth taking

Turn the multiple into dollars
Multiply the multiple by the base named in the clause. Write the answer down as a dollar figure. Every later step uses that number, not the percentage on the banner.

A$8,000 of turnover is 8,000 spins at $1 and 32,000 spins at $0.25. If your normal stake is small, a large turnover figure stops being a maths problem and becomes a time problem.
